I have undergone personal hardships, deaths in my immediate family and two diseases diagnosed to myself in the last year and a half. I have taken a backseat during this time and would absolutely be blessed if I were to be picked to have a fashion overhaul. I have four daughters, two are mine (ages 29, 27) from a previous marrage and have inherited two (ages 19 and 13) from my present marriage, all of whom I might add get along beautifully. All four girls try very hard to give me tips. My second oldest daughter is very fashion savy and gives me tips all the time but being a mom, I always come back from shopping with something for them, my husband, pets, my home and not myself.

Thank you for the opportunity for a chance in a lifetime, especially with a fashion overhaul from THE BLOCK TO SHOP My favorite strip in Edmonton.

Hooray to "The Block to Shop" ladies. You have realized that working together to increase the size of the customer pie by offering a number of different shops together will attract more customers for you all to share. What a Win-Win-Win situation. The customers win, the shops that made the sale wins, and the collective group wins.

We attempted the same thing in New Zealand when we tried to get all four of the neighboring ski areas to work together in the same manner. It did not work, because two of the ski areas were politically driven by high-flying corporations. They kept trying to beat the other two areas, as we kept encouraging skiers to try all locations. We thrived with a very positive customer attitude; while they disintegrated because of their negative corporate destroy the other guy atmosphere. Yet, we would have all done much better by working together like you all have done. Keep it up. You are on the right track.
